Using coordinates
This week, in numeracy, we've been learning about coordinates and we now know that coordinates are pretty much like an address that describes the position of an object.
We began with fairly easy tasks, in essence, locating given points on a grid, as well as making up coordinates.

Eventually, we got around to using more technical and scientific words to indicate position, such as "north", "south", "east" and "west", otherwise known as "cardinal points", which can be found on compasses, used for navigation.
Did you know?
To find a location on a map, we also need to know the coordinates of what you are looking for. For maps, the coordinates are called "latitude" and "longitude".
For example, if you look for what's located at latitude 51.46 and longitude -0.10, you will find...
